The machine learning engineer is responsible for implementing and collaborating on many research initiatives to apply ML/DL techniques for retail applications.  

Required:

  • Experience in Python including libraries such as NumPy, TensorFlow, and SciKit
  • Experience across a wide variety of deep learning techniques such as supervised learning, one-shot learning, reinforcement learning, synthetic gradients, and GANs
  • Experience applying CNNs to various types of datasets

  • Experience training CNNs

Required:

Industrial Designer Pittsburgh, PA

In this role, you will work remotely and in-person with SKA’s design team, clients, account managers and an interdisciplinary engineering team to Brainstorm and design 3D products that are beautiful, intuitive, and comfortable to use. We are looking for ambitious, fun, positive, and motivated individuals who like to learn by getting their hands dirty and wants to make an impact. You must include a design portfolio if applying for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in product brainstorming sessions
  • Sketch conceptual designs
  • Build designs in CAD
  • Fabricate “looks-like” models of products
  • Coordinate with engineer(s) to ensure that your designs are technically feasible and help them to capture your vision in their implementation.
  • Coordinate with product manager(s) to estimate how many hours tasks will take before attempting them.

In this role, you will work remotely and in-person with SKA’s design team, clients, account managers and an interdisciplinary engineering team to Brainstorm and design software user interfaces that are beautiful, intuitive, and fun to use. Responsibilities:

  • Participate in user interface brainstorming sessions
  • Wireframe user interface concepts
  • Build “looks-like” proofs of User Interface designs using image manipulation software
  • Identify fonts and colors which convey a message appropriate to the interface being designed.

In this role, you will work closely SKA’s design team, clients, consultants, account managers, and owner to aid in generating content for SKA’s website, user interface products, product manuals and documentation, press releases, articles, and social media accounts. You must include at least one writing sample if applying to be a copywriter or copywriting intern.

The ideal candidate for this position will include a video of something they have built.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in engineering brainstorming/problem solving sessions
  • Sketch electrical schematics and/or mechanical designs.
  • Perform basic assembly and fabrication tasks.
  • Coordinate with designers to ensure your designs are user friendly and communicate appropriate brand-image.
  • Coordinate with product manager(s) to estimate how many hours tasks will take before attempting them.
  • Specify mechanisms and components on the basis of cost and performance.
