Since its launch on April 19, 2021, the podcast has gained a reputation for its unfiltered candor and thought-provoking discussions with some of the world’s brightest minds in technology, research, and entrepreneurship.

“When I started Collaborative with Spencer Krause, I wanted to shine a spotlight on the thought processes, personalities, and anecdotes of our guests, rather than just delivering a canned script or sales pitch. This informality in our approach is what differentiates us from other technology podcasts,” said Krause, the podcast’s host and president and CEO of SKA Custom Robots and Machines, a Pittsburgh-based contract engineering firm. “I am excited to have gained a loyal subscriber base that looks forward to each new episode, and am honored to be joined by my friend, Edward Tunstel for this milestone episode.”

For the 100th episode, Tunstel, who serves as chief technology officer for Motiv Space Systems, joins Krause for a lively discussion about robotics for space from the 1990s to the present, the technologies used in space applications, the challenges of lunar missions, and Tunstel’s work on the NASA Mars Exploration Rovers. In addition, the two discuss a variety of  projects that Tunstel and his colleagues have worked on, including ground-penetrating RADAR-carrying lunar robots, satellite grappling and servicing robots, cold-functioning robotic arms for use in lunar nights, and nanorovers.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the podcast’s 100th episode celebration,” said Tunstel. “I look forward to sharing my experience and insight with the audience and joining Spencer to discuss my career and the latest innovations in robotic space technology. I commend Collaborative with Spencer Krause on its success so far, and am excited to see what the future holds for the podcast.”
